Thomas Stearns Eliot also known as T. S. Eliot is one of the major poets of twentieth century. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948 for his outstanding contribution to poetry. His poetry was unique, compelling and authentic in nature. Though Eliot produced a relatively small number of poems, the little he published immediately developed a cult-like following from all literary corners, and his poetry is often considered the most influential poetic work of the 20th century. His notable works include The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock and The Waste Land. Late in his career, Eliot focused much of his creative energy on writing for the theatre and most of his essays focused on the writing drama in verse.
