Charlotte Bronte was a classical English poet and novelist, one of the three Bronte sisters, the others being Emily and Anne. Unlike her sister Emily, she was rather successful in her prose and poetry. Her most famous novel, Jane Eyre was published on 16th October, 1847. Other of her noted works include Villette, Shirley, and The spell. Her stories were based on melodrama and other humanist values. She died at the age of 38 due to morning sickness.
