Julia’s Tale Of True Love

Julias Tale Of True Love short poem

Fiery fervent flames raged in the room
Passionately playing the melody of death
In the air danced a broiling, smoky flume
That blurred Julia’s e’ery path of escape

The fire imprisoned her trembling soul
Who begged the blaze to spare her life
The flames laughed at their puny goal
And oiled their searing, wrathful dance

Her sights fainted into a murky night
The flames howled in mirth and gloat
Singing their song in malicious delight
They limped to the frail, static body

But the luckless flames were too late
In mists and mere odors, perish’d they
Clement and merciful was Julia’s fate
For aqua blasts in time’s nick reach’d

A flowery aroma smelled her slim nose
Julia opened her glimmering celeste eyes
That sighted the scarlet-most balmy rose
Tucked in the redolent, plump bouquet

What saw she next was her doting amour
His eyes shimmering, his lips wavering…
”Julia, I might hesitate, I might stammer
I, I really…” and here she gave him a hand

”Oh, I love you too! my savior, my hero
I shall cherish you in my bosom fore’er
I’m now your Juliet, you’re my Romeo
I shan’t mistrust your true love anymore”

I was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I started writing at the age of 11. I am a passionate poet and I use the power of my heart and my imaginations to write poems. I've been writing poetry for five years. I initially wrote free-verse poetry but I was inspired by William Wordsworth's poems and then I switched to rhythmic poetry. I am a poet of emotions and sentimentality. I embellish my thoughts and ideas by adding several metaphors, idioms, and similes. In 2013, I participated in an inter-school poetry competition in which I was awarded the first prize. I'm hoping to publish a book which compiles up all my poems, called ''Farhanite''. In my opinion, being a poet is like living in a world of dreams and inner visualizations, that you turn into words adorned by beautiful metaphors, similes, idioms, and rhymes. Poetry is a tool that completely changes your personality, your style, your ambitions, and in short, you.
