Tortured Soul

Tortured Soul short poem

Sometimes you feel all alone,
Your world it closes in,
There’s no one there to help you,
To save you from your sin.

You stay awake at night,
Your eyes are dry and sore,
Nobody else can help you,
Your life is such a chore.

Wouldn’t it be better,
To leave the world behind,
Leave behind the problems,
Of your tortured mind.

An empty packet of pills,
An open bottle of Jack,
I’ve swallowewd them all down,
Now I’m laying on my back.

My eyes are feeling sleepy,
My world it closes in,
I can feel myself going,
I’m empty there’s nothing.

When my eyes are open
I wonder where am I now,
How did I get down here,
Please someone tell me how.

I’m at a desolate place,
Somewhere between death and despair,
There’s nobody else down here,
And there’s nobody over there.

I’ve taken my tortured life,
Left all my problems behind,
Now I’m just eternally floating,
In deaths knarled and torturous mind.

So please if you feel down,
And you need to end it all,
Don’t go down this road,
Don’t let yourself just fall.

There’s nothing or nobody ,
Just dark and burning holes,
No angels or no God,
Just forever tortured souls.

Yes poet it is a bad path indeed for those left behind. A strong poem on how someone may feel so low as to take that path.

Really a great piece of art, I would call it. Liked the lines “Don’t go down this road,
Don’t let yourself just fall.”… We must not lose our hope….Great
