Why is it so difficult to convince The Heart,
That feelings nowadays are sold at The Mart.
Ventured into The Mart, in hand The Heart,
And In tow, a shopping cart.
Trust was on sale in a neat pack,
Came with it free an Armour for the back.
A twin pack of Lies and Blame,
Was exclusively sold as a Game.
An Extinct feeling? Love that is Blind,
Took a lot of effort and trouble to find.
Betrayal was readily sold with a glee,
Hurt, Anger and Tears thrown in for free.
Respect, Friendship, Dignity and Grace,
Were seen scrounging for space.
The Benevolence towards Faith and Strength,
Consoled The Heart that all was not at its end.
Amid the chaos happens an Auction of a bride,
Sighting the crudity, all conviction Died.
Now, it isn’t difficult to believe for The Heart,
That feelings are indeed sold at The Mart.
