The Ride

The Ride short poem

Old sense of exhilaration
for the spirit to soar free

To be one with elements
on an aimless kind spree

No destination so to say
nothing planned as such

Tad touch of spontaneity
& escapade a sole crutch

Legs straddling untamed
not broken in yet mount

Uncertain of the outcome
and what it’ll tantamount

Timidity all but vanished
once wind felt in the face

Me and steed conjoined
to most others outpace

All new limits put to test
endurance too was tried

Both of us with dexterity
our admiration justified

Formed kind of covenant
unspoken bound in pact

To discover all new vistas
and with ecstasy interact
