Peto

I am the little tiger that ran away
The jungle seemed to disappear each day
I wondered hard and long but I couldn’t stay
So I walked down river to find another place to hunt and play
Everywhere seemed to have the same scars of tracks in the mud and clay
I fled up to the mountains to see if I could find my way
It’s cold and food is scarce up here but for fish in small rivers that meandered down to were I must travel today
There are people here and surely they will help a tiger that has gone astray
All I got was shunned and men put me in a cage and I was sent in a truck far from Bombay
I was scared and thought of why I had to go from the jungle to find food and a place to lay
I soon found that I was taken to a sanctuary and now lots of tigers are here to be seen and looked upon as kings and queens of the jungle that had nowhere else to go because humans are stupid and I am PETO a tiger and this is my story, good day.

Yes this morning I have just read another tiger poem along simiular lines, let the tiger live. Man is so stupid at times. I enjoyed reading.
