Safe In my Slumber

Safe In my Slumber short poem

Safe in my slumber
Where it is only me who creates
They frown upon my dreaming state

Safe in my slumber
Along side my fears
They ask me why dawn brings tears

Safe in my slumber
Where I am in control
They wonder why I am a lazy soul

Safe in my slumber
They ask why I hate to wake
I simply tell them the keyword is safe

I am twenty years young from Ireland, I write to express and to say the things I could never make audible. I have little academic knowledge of poetry but I'm okay with that! I live to gaze at stars and question everything, my ultimate dream is to reset the factory settings of humanity...
