Come September And Sweet Heart

Come September And Sweet Heart long poem

Why don’t you remember?
Remember again,
Music of September,
I still retain.
We met in the greenery,
A wet, lovely scenery,
A teen age romance,
The music and dance.

Why don’t you remember?
Remember again,
Magic of September,
Your shyness, my refrain.
Love at first sight,
In a moonlit night,
Fragrance of white flowers,
And the mild rain showers.

Why don’t you remember?
Remember again,
Picnic of September,
A love to remain.
The maiden kiss,
The beautiful bliss.
A lasting joy,
Not a moment’s toy.

Why don’t you remember?
Remember again,
The tune, Come September,
We can still entertain.
In the heat strokes,
It still provokes,
The desires of romance,
We can sing and dance.

Such a refreshingly green poem!
There is something mystical about nature, love, rain and romance.
After read like a zillion poems on love, this one still seems so aptly captured.
Love the simplicity of you poem.

There’s this another beautiful poem on rain soaked memories by @eugene_latumbo

this beautiful poem deserves music too, I could almost hear it, gentle soft and innocent.
