He Smiles

He Smiles short poem

He smiles in his sleep
And I wonder what he sees
Is it angels who on him keep?
Or his future he had a peep

He smiles in his sleep
And I wonder what he hears
Is it the lullaby I sing to him?
Or his food that is almost ready

He smiles in his sleep
And I wonder what he feels
Is it the love I have for him?
Or he knows I’m staring at him

He smiles in his sleep
And I wonder if he knows
The happiness he brings to me
That when he smiles I smile too
