Babbling Words

Babbling Words short poem

Though words are cheap,
and often said,
By the tongue of fools,
some are lead.

In the darkness of night,
they lay await,
To guide the weak,
to their fate.

When they gain,
their victims trust,
Then they cause,
their hearts to lust.

Becoming so blind,
from within,
Their souls are filled,
with ungodly sin.

By babbling words,
they are lead,
By the tongues of fools,
they are fed!

@ james_porter, lust is often stirred up by words of a babbling fool that entices the unwary into sin. In times of weakness, hearts may succumb easily, and in the night, blinded, and gypped by tongues of fools. You have painted well a seeming scenario of seduction, if not mere deception.

Thank you! I can write them but I find it hard to comment on my own works! I leave that to the reader openly! Thank you

Those Unsaid Words

Those Unsaid Words short poem

I learned to hold all my feelings inside until late at night. I covered my mouth with my hands so that no one could hear my tears. I perfected my fake smile. Today, after so many days, painfully enough, but
