The Compassion Of God

Live today, like there is no tomorrow,
Confessing to God, all your sins, and sorrow.
Let not the sun go down, upon your wrath,
In his blood of forgiveness, take a bath.
For there is no promise, of tomorrow you see,
For life is but a vapour, for you and me.
So live this day, like it is your last,
Trusting in God, that he forgave your past.
For we are not perfect you see,
So worry not, what tomorrow may be.
Only live in the now, in the life you live,
And the compassion of God, to others give.
For we could die, with our very next breath,
And by the compassion of God,
We shall be raised from death!

I'm a very private person who spends a lot of time alone. I meditate on answers to a lot of life's trials and tribulations in life. I am a libra and I believe in true honest justice that balances out equally! I write poetry to help myself and others to see both sides of the coin at the same time- I have wrote poetry since I was 13-been writing almost 39 years now and just started putting it out for others about 2 months ago-

@james_porter, a beautiful rendering of the tenets of the Bible. “. .like there is no tomorrow.” — an exhortation to make the most of today, or to worry not of what’s to come, for today has enough worries of its own. Then there is this counsel to make amends with the one you are in conflict with before sundown. And we could continue with more. . . . There is the admonition regards the uncertainty of death, and finally the compassion of God regards afterlife.

It is always a delight to read your rhymes.
