Insomniac short poem

After hours, and he is still awake,

& looking for a way to escape…

But the truth masqueraded by the smile so fake,

Can’t compare to its real shape..!

Blood red eyes say the tale,

Of an insomniac mind in its prime…

But no one knows what pain impales,

Behind his fake smile since long time…!!

A constant attempt to get rid of it,

Yet longing for nights to never cease…

This repeats as an everlasting skit,

Accepting it the only way to be at peace..!

Few pages of life if only he could omit,

He would sew back his life piece by piece…!!

enjoyed reading it.

That is so true I think we all have pages we would like to rip out, but they are also the making of us—meaning we take another path. I enjoyed reading your poem and those were my first thoughts after reading. Yes stitch, darn etc to make us whole again good words.
