Thoughts

Thoughts short poem

Thoughts that run on my mind
Millions and millions, at light speeds of time
The anger and pain
The love and the smiles
The horrors and fears
A future that’s so close but never near
A past that’s far behind but still on my heels
New time, new year
Same place, same soul
Where did it go wrong?
From my youth years of dreams
To stepping into a realm I planned for, for years?
Was it the roadblocks or attractions I visited?
Cause now I’m lost and empty-handed
Broken hearted and in pain
But my smile and jokes are my makeup
These thoughts they weight heavy
These thoughts go at light speeds and maybe even faster
Millions and millions at a time
The experience of it all, once again..
