Can’t Wait No More

Cant Wait No More short poem

There came a day when time stood still
I had no clue why my loneliness grew
was searching for that void to fill
when I stumbled upon a picture of you

A virtual meet and greet we shared
Mysterious you, me – a bit scared
till finally I asked and dared
to come see you, my soul bared

The first look and a second’s glance
Our hands we shook, my heart began to dance
few words we spoke, a couple of laughs
Got right to it, couldn’t let the moment pass

Now I’m just agonising
you were so mesmerising
don’t waste time analysing
this wait is paralysing

Please don’t make me beg you to stay
If your heart is far far away
one word is all it would take
to have me in your own way

I can’t wait no more
’cause I’ve been here before
Now I just need to know
If it’s me you’re yearning for

I thought it belonged to only I, But you have claimed it for yourself. You say I should hurry up and die, That I’m only good for killing myself. I don’t wish to hear you, But you stole my hands.
