Far Away

It’s been a while since you’ve gone away
My heart is tired yet it yearns today
A secret now cold, it’s hard to contain
I long for you, but you’re far away

Your memories are all I have
To be touched by you is what I crave
Not our past or present matter
I dream of you and our forever after

Distance has taken its toll
Our friendship strained, it’s hard I’m told
My love, my darling only IF you want it to be
Just say the word and make it known to me
And from the ends of the earth I shall come to thee

So strange is this feeling I have inside
A few lines I write, now my desire has died
It goes up, it goes down
It’s like a joyride
So I don’t know when, where and how
I hope we meet some day
And soon, before I’ve gone Far Away….
