Five Minutes

Five Minutes short poem

It’s been so long, from night till dawn
Want to see your face, where my heart belongs
Those eyes that make me smile and keep me strong
I want to kiss those lips, all day long

You haven’t called to set the Time
The Day, the Place – Yours or Mine
A few minutes is all I ask of thee
To hold you close, to comfort Me

Futile attempts via call and sms
No response, now I’m a mess
When & How will thou reply
My patience is hurt, gonna break down and cry

Another day has come and gone
My Love, my heart is all forlorn
Body, Mind & Soul now tire
Five Minutes….that was my desire.

A taste of life was what I sought Peace of mind was what I lost Biting into chunks of a juicy life Chillies got into my nose and eyes Smoking from all orifices I ran to chill my singed senses
