Rip Tide

Rip Tide short poem

Big fluffy clouds,
Like cotton wool shrouds.
Floating silent and free,
Way up high, above me.

A dog or a lion,
A bear or a bird.
A young child’s imagery,
A floating menagerie.

All too soon, they are gone,
Never more to appear.
Life’s hate, fear and loss
Chase the dreamers in tears.

What a life we once had,
And forever still need.
Washed away by a rip-tide,
Of evil and greed.

Since doing so in Dec 2013, I have published 4 novels and 5 volumes of poetry, (available on Amazon.co.uk).My words are my life. If they touch you in any way, if you are able to take something from them, then my work has achieved its goal and I am a happy man.Welcome to my world. Darren.

Rising Tide

Rising Tide short poem

The Cleansing Tide

The Cleansing Tide long poem

The child in his arms was such a precious gift, her sweet loving smile would make his heart lift. Born into a love that none could compare with her baby blue eyes framed with curly blonde hair. Conceived and born
