The Valueless Treasure

The Valueless Treasure short poem

I am running behind the golden treasure,
Not realizing what is actual pleasure.
I am a person with greed in my soul,
Not seeing the monster inside this gold.

I am not the man who cares for the other,
Not even bothering for the life of my brother.
I am only myself in my heart that I am minding,
What kind of life am I striving for my living?

Once my hand landed on the treasure,
In it, did I find a chunk of pleasure?
I just wanted more of the treasure,
In which my life had already met it’s last measure.
