Love Sonnet 166

When joy has fled the confines of your heart,
And to sadness is where you sally forth,
Had you been queen, still nary could you thwart,
The glum where even clowns can’t be of worth;
Some solace you might find in truth and faith;
That enlivens the soul, but not your mirth,
When love has turned to nothing but a wraith,
Of what it was, before being in dearth;
For, all the clowns and jesters of a court,
Won’t brighten up the days of one who grieves,
Only by coming back, your self transport,
To where is home, as what your heart believes,
…….Will, once again, true happiness abide
…….In lonely dreams that once you’ve cast aside.

♪ ♫ Well, I guess, it could be said that if my knowledge and wisdom were converted to wealth, I may humbly say, in all honesty, that I am not a millionaire. But if out of my two cents, you would agree to accept one of it, then, I could proudly say, in all modesty, that I have done charity.♥

Interesting, but it needs a stanza. I liked the emotion, can feel it through your words. Very powerful use of wording. Keep it up, we need more poems like this.
