The Tick And The Tock

The Tick And The Tock short poem

Sitting in a car park
Staring at the rains
Musing in a car park
Counting all my pains

Observing the world
As it passes me by
Watching it go
Through warm sleepy eyes

Moments slip by
As we leave them behind
Passing through time
Like a clock spring unwind

No way to stop them
Hold on to; to freeze
Till the depths of despair
Bring you down to your knees

The ticking tock
Of life’s mortal clock
Slowly winding down
Ever nearer to it’s stop

Where were you When your future became the present? Where are you now? How do you feel? Where will you go When your present ticks into the future? Where will you go When your present tocks into your past? And

Tick Tock Song long poem

The coffee shops spill over with uninspired espressos, The jukebox shudders over in ebbs and flows, The conversation is just a din that adds up and grows, The footfalls are stampeding all over the floors. There is a voice singing
