Recorded Message

Recorded Message short poem

Robots on the line,
With their tedious whine.
Options galore,
Just hit buttons one to four.

What happened to the good old days,
When real people used to say,
Hello and how can I help you,
And what was that you say?

Understand your problems,
And speak your language too.
Sadly, now it’s all gone,
They’ve flushed it down the loo.

This technological world,
Isn’t really all that good.
Sometimes it feels like you’re swimming,
Against a fierce and powerful flood.

Forever we move on,
And things are not the same.
And you know, when you think about it,
It’s really quite a shame.

Really good flow, and vivid.

Very creative.

Loved the sentiment Darren but oh technology — I can find what I need in a flash not hours in a library—
send my kids money without the birthday cards being nicked by a bad postie, invisage myself in another land
at the click of a button, just a few good things but for sure the bad outway the good.
