Wanting

Wanting short poem

Wishing that sometimes we talked
Time seems to take away
All that matters to me
It seems our love is afray
Never the same

The look in your eyes
Can’t disguise
Lies hiding behind the smile
I miss the real you

Tell me it’s gonna be alright
That we don’t have to fight
For the one thing
That we shared together

I close my eyes to the dark
Wanting it to go away
To see the sunshine of our love
Brighten every day

So my love please say
You love me
In your own way
And maybe hearts can rescue us
before time turns us to dust
