Elemental matter from swirling nebulae, drawn together by gravity to form a rocky mass, at exactly the right distance from another star, itself formed in precise proportion to shine for long enough, with just enough warmth, for elements to randomly collide, forming molecules that spark to life, and self replicate, and thicken, and grow, and evolve into living beings.
Beings, that, by an improbable sequence of happy coincidences, survived disease, and accident, and war, and famine, and all forms of pestilence and predators, and mankind’s best efforts to destroy itself. To survive all that, to live long enough, to meet and bear children that would, one day, be drawn together in a Belfast bar, and fall in love. Your love is constructed from the stuff of stars.
