Dolly’s requiem

Dollys requiem short poem

( Dolly was a Lhasa Apso who lived amongst us for close to 15 years. She passed away in 2002)

Here lies Dolly.

Alias Dollykins, alias Rani, alias Master Yoda,

Alias Shaithan, alias Devil dog, alias Gremlin dog

A unique creature,

Highly sensitive,

Capable of unusually profound communication.

Strongly individualistic, proud and unbending,

Zealous guardian of her personal space.

Yet a more affectionate and caring creature one rarely came across,

Among dogs and humans alike;

Fiercely protective of her loved ones,

Loving and beloved of all

Mother of all battles,

Doughty defender of her territory

And true queen of all she surveyed

– May her soul rest in peace.
