Fall

Fall short poem

Gone is the palace
Emerald green
More vibrant colours
Steal the scene

Brilliant hues
Red and gold
Herald a world
Harsh and cold

Winds of change
Whisper through the halls
The canopy breaks
Flutters, falls

Of Summer’s death
Do not abhor
Behold crimson waves
On an icy shore

Mourn not
A season gone too soon
Marvel instead
The harvest moon!

Breath deep
Let it inspire
This golden sea
This world on fire

The Fall Of Nod

The Fall Of Nod long poem

I watch storm clouds drag themselves over broken city skylines. Listen to their thundering hearts, beat the promise of the malign. The frigid touch of rain, falling from a million hollow eyes. I wait and wish for my demise. In
