Eddy Puss

Eddy Puss short poem

A herd of Chicanos is on TV thanking some mike on a stick
Complementing my all pill breakfast
It’s time to write clinical sonnets to girls in biology
The looming plurality of entendres hopefully penetrating their big hair
They don’t care
That keeps them sweeping Lenin’s coffers
Collaterally preserved
Exhales in jars
Leaking out invisible seams
So she deems
My mother is making me rewatch her favorite show
Claiming this is the price of going on without her
Miming every line
Running my fingers over the cellophane of theatre
While everything is unboxed for her
Granaries kept in presents
Draining out old holes
And we are embarrassed by air
I know girls like her
I write them sonnets
Trying to entangle
Afraid to be alone
Degrade you to a consumer product
Planting their arms firmly to the spinning Earth
Soon enough their hands will go right through you
And the only clues will be chromatic tissue boxes
Robbed, torn and mobbed
She catches up on Christmas
A circus of awe settling irises
Her quiet fetish for infinity
Ribbed in the yolk of another half-circle who likes television and decency
Complementing her feminist lunch
Curiously powerless when the waiters don’t stare the way they used to
And this house is slowly blanketing her
Dust veins like ballerinas
Moldy grapefruit bells scrape tenures of skin cells together
To populate her jewelry box
With raven locks

The Enigmatic Eddy short poem

Plethora of other’s misery too afflicts in some form Improbable to brave fury stuck in eye of the storm Setting right all courses own turns terribly wrong With tide stuck in vortex best let go to flow along Untying few
