Break

Break prose poem

From the dizzy heights of my blind, blind love,
From the darkest abyss of my sins,
From the broken shards of your words that hurt,
From the silence throbbing madly in my ears,

From the rotten skin that I’ve been used to hiding inside of,
From the plastic smile I try to radiate at times,
From the burning tears that could never wash the pain away,
From the hopeless dreams that I live in my alternates,

From the days that sometimes slap too hard on my face,
From the nights that give me yet another falsehood to survive,
From every fleeting moment that I think I’m living for,
From every warning sign that calls me to the other side,

I need a break.

I don't know much about me yet..except that, I'm more of a thinker than a doer. Yet, there have been times when I did put all my thoughts into action and did things people don't really think about doing...and they have been surreal and beautiful memories..I'm probably a dreamer too, specializing in the most impossible ones..And lover, yes...one of those storybook kinds, I'm told, by few who said they've seen enough of me...I kinda guess that's true..And other things that define me...well..Art, Music, Poetry, Literature, Cinema...Conversations..Hopes for a better world..Yet, the warning signs of Reality..Broken promises, Heartbreaks..Deep sighs..Silence..Life, as we know it. :)

Take a break, what does that really mean? Break an arm, a foot; break wind or a stick. Maybe, perhaps; but take a look a little deeper is the thought. Re-visit, revise; review, recharge. Take a head break, a spirit
