Unburdening short poem

The baggage that each of us carry around
We keep quiet making no sound

With laden eyes and tethered souls
Who likes a blanket full of holes

What’s there to prove to this world anyway
Just enjoy it all till you get to stay

‘Cause death is inevitable my friend
Causing the tallest standing trees to bend

And time is running fast
Make the most till it will last

So what’s the point in carrying this baggage if I may ask
When you can genuinely be happy why wear a mask

When nothing is suppose to last forever
Wouldn’t letting it all go be more clever

So cease the day and make peace with what comes your way
Your gift is that you will get to live another day.
