Split Mind

Split Mind long poem

Time passes by
The birds flew high
Grass is never greener on the other side
They lied
They lied
Controlling your mind
You’re being watched
And they’re inside
Your split mind

Comedy and tragedy
What is this horrid travesty
The brain is draped in a miraculous tapestry
Of atrophy
This is your split mind

Battle on the front lines
War against the self that binds
Reality and fiction combined
Once ones thoughts have resigned
You’re left stuck behind
In a fictitious world of animosity outlined
This is your split mind

One must fight, overcome
Be the one
To win this battle and be done
The struggle will be over, and you will rise to see the rising sun
For you have successfully put together your split mind,
This obstacle you have overcome
