Who Is This John

Who Is This John long poem

Who is this that keeps me awake all night long,
Who even my pride bows down,
Who fills all the gaps in my puzzles?
Who my world feels so huge without them,
Who is the epitome of beauty; my prince,
Who is this John?

My dreams begin and end with him,
My morning, all day long, all I remember is him,
My siblings think I’m crazy,
My classmates tease me for falling for a stranger,
My thoughts are uncontrollable,
My spirit won’t hear a word against him,
Who is this John?

Since when do I care about anyone else but me?
Since when do I stare at vanity and smile?
Since when do I care about my weight?
Since when do I change clothes several times?
Since when does a sight of one person matter to me?
Who is this John?

Could it be Him that they say I have to run away from?
Could it be the one who will tear my world apart?
Could it be the one my eyes will go blind even when they see?
Could it be the one with whom my joy won’t end?
Could it be he is my Mr. Right, I’m in dilemma,
Who is this John?

If you see him, kindly tell him of my dilemma,
If you catch him, hold him for me; tell him of my strangeness,
If you hear him, call him for me; let him know how much I miss him,
If you know his second name, do let me know; I wanna shout it loudly,
If I could just see him one more time; my heart would beat so fast,
I would never let him go without me; for I’m hopelessly in love
With this John
