Departure

Departure long poem

Looking at this photograph
its so shocking to see
that which I have never seen
I cannot put a voice to the face I now see
as I have never heard the voice!

My wish as a little pea
was to see you but just once
to hear your voice
to listen to your stories

My wish as a big pea
was that you could have
been here with me
to listen to me
to hold me when it pains
to guide me when it rains

I know it wasn’t your fault
you didn’t really know it was
coming until it was too late

I may never hear your voice nor
hold your hand
or hold a story in my heart
as it was a sudden depart

It is sad that you had to part
in my heart you stay
in my tears you stay
in my memory you stay
even thou you I did not know

Departure

Departure short poem

Your absence was left beside me for the white salt, unsolicited, unbroken wants. Asking to return the dried roses pressed between the pages of talking book. Counting only the dying fireworks the hissing sparks, left in the unwrapped bones and
