Temporary Soul

Temporary Soul short poem

Held so close, your materials protected like I might wreck some
Vibrant hues, a rainbow on the light spectrum
Increased saturation, a narrow aperture, and quick shutter
Snapping photographs of smiling faces as I slide in a slick gutter
Haunted by transparent spirits, by an image built in my mind
Caged into an afterlife of pleading for forgiveness for the guilt I designed
Harnessed energy bestows magic within the occult
Supernatural phenomena is tragic therein the result
Lives lost, an explosive episode during grey day warfare
Count your blessings, say a prayer

A yearning for meaning, acquisitiveness the knife
In death we learn the insignificance of life
Up into the sky, levitating away from me, my temporary soul
An emptying heart when love has only a smidgen fills
Spirituality betrays me and religion kills

A king conquered, a theft wasted and dethrone
Exposed and vulnerable left naked and alone
No longer preserved my legacy washed away like a temporary soul
Set fire to the past and forewarn some as flashes
Of my life before my eyes are crumbling, reborn from the ashes

Flooded mountainside, rain cast down like shadows of the clouds
All my possessions washed away to be disposed to the crowds
My life is draining all that I once owned as I cry for a high
Allow me to propose a trade, an eye for an eye
I annihilate when only plan to fracture
I’m only as good as the people around me, a manufacture
Stranded and searching earth for nothing, why try known land
Life is of suffering but by my own hand
Dancing alone to this trashing ballet
Frantically singing until passing away

Her Very Soul Is Shared

Her Very Soul Is Shared long poem

At the weekend she’ll go back again to walk barefoot on ferns and then through flickering green mosaics where sunlight never burns she’ll wander wisp tossed shadowed lanes of timeless peace rimmed hours where emerald rain drops sprinkle from sky

This Soul

This Soul short poem

It helps me, In every moment I live. It helps me, In deadly sands, In burning sun, When I survive. And I know, I’m sure, I hope, it’ll help me, Throughout my life. B’cause it’s my nice friend. I think,
