The Carpenter From Galilee

The Carpenter from Galilee

My life lay in ruins and in need of desperate repairs
My foundation sinking under the weight of earthly cares
I kept putting off fixing things until tomorrow
Always looking for someone else’s tools to borrow

I kept patching never finishing anything
And when it came to excuses I was the king
Soon my home was a dilapidated house full of misery
I knew I needed Jesus, the Carpenter from Galilee

Jesus came to where I was and did an inspection
Then He quickly began my life’s resurrection
All that I had built using my own two hands
Was washed away in the shifting sands

Upon the rock of salvation my new foundation was laid
The fortified walls of my faith rose up as the angels prayed
Rebuilding, remaking and renewing me
The Carpenter from Galilee

Building bridges between husband and wives
Reconstructing once falling apart lives
Upon His Cornerstone constructing eternity
The Carpenter from Galilee

Nails were driven through the hands of this Galilean craftsman
For He was following His Master’s plan
Now building for you and me a mansion in glory
For He is The Carpenter from Galilee
