Distant Apart

Distant Apart short poem

Far beyond the ocean breeze
Where my tiny hands fail to reach
I see a light so warm and bright
A soft breeze touched my face
Gave a soft warmth that I could feel
Far away I heard a voice
A clear voice of someone calling me
A sound so melodious to hear
That I wanted to hear so long
I cleared my eyes and looked again
To see my beloved a distant apart.

Mano a mano taut our mutually limp and gnarled fingers bony hooks draped with blotched flesh – varicose veined, decubitus descent, and aged arthritic anatomy like a scorched oxbow lake cruelly desiccating topography! * * * * * * *

A Not So Distant Dirge

A Not So Distant Dirge elegy

The heart rending wail from the floor below Found its way into the corridors of my mind, Echoing in my brain long after it subsided. It was Munna’s mom, who died that morning, As drastically as Jigjri’s son lost his

A Distant Endearment

A Distant Endearment short poem

Look outward, vacillant eager suitor; the harbouring eyes reveal all. And never disappearing, your every thought would explore revolving exclaves; maintaining absolving introversion. Never subvert the remaining affection; never go. Endless reminder; sanguine. Rarely ever after death, there’s happiness. Every
