Gift

Gift prose poem

Uploaded by Missy Combs

I would give you the glow of the fullest harvest moon on the darkest night but I am only a star!

I would give you the sun from the warmest summer day but I am only darkness.

I would give you the depth from the deepest blue sea but I am only a grain of sand.

I would give you the winter snow from the coldest mountain top but I am only a snowflake.

But If you ask me for my treasure, it is locked within my heart. It already belongs to you and it did right from the start.

A Gift? prose poem
