Step Away

Modernity.
Technology.
Racing
head long
helter-skelter
into the
future.
Like a
runaway train
speeding
out of
control.
Historic
societal norms
breaking apart.
What to
think,
what to
believe
losing
resonance.
Explosion of
information
barraging our
senses.
Overload.
Current institutions
clueless
of what’s coming.
Acceleration.
Biotechnology.
Information technology.
Nanotechnology.
Artificial intelligence.
All converging
on top of
our heads!
More change
coming
in the next
twenty years
than seen
in the
last three hundred.
What to
do?
How to
cope?
For now
at lest,
step away.
Relax,
visit nature.
Walk in the
woods.
Meditate,
sit by the
ocean.
Leave the
technology home.
Our minds came
from
simpler times,
not designed
for
light speed
change.
Step away,
at least
for awhile.
Reset your
sanity.
Less you
implode!

Look away Transmission overload; Can’t seem to figure out my mind. I’m feeling home alone in time, Too late to find a bride. I have slept a thousand years; No princesses kiss to change my heart and wake me up.

Fade Away

Fade Away short poem

So here I am again laying in our bed. Wishing you could see me, but you cant ’cause I’m dead. I try to scream, but make no sound. You say goodbye as my tears hit the ground. You never even

Wearing Away

Wearing Away short poem

I have again become empty by undoing a disturbing thought. Unsexing the sputtering stillness of a Robin. Tender bruises on the pink heart. A bird was flying away. Little tears come down from the swollen river in spate. Pain lingers

Step By Step

Step By Step short poem

In this life, sometimes we face, Steps we have to take, that brings disgrace. Those around you, will point and judge, But if those steps for you, are good, I say, do not budge. For what steps we take, that

Never Let Your Rainbows Fade Away short poem

As the raindrops fall gently from the sky A Rainbow appears up on high Capture this moment as hard as I try Take in every color as they pass by Believing for a minute That you know where the other
