I Am Chained

I Am Chained short poem

I am chained
Something strains and chains me
To suffocate in the tightened grip
That forcibly blocks my mild muse
‘Get up, it is too late,`
An alarm from my sweet Mom,
Who howls like a siren,
‘Oh, I can’t open my eyes,
For I am scared to see
Her red rolling eyes
That threatens my innocent sleepy life’
‘What is this ?, You lazy,
Still in bed , kissing pillow !
An ironic tease from my dear Dad
Whose heavy but soft words
Hit my brain in vain .
Uneasy fret, vex pesters
Me to challenge the routine admonish.
My dizzy head refuses to face
The busy world of piles of homework, tests projects,
Stern educated rulers rule
The little tender ruffled creatures
Who are unable to activate or react
To the worn out slogans of tired souls,
‘Every day read for five hours, score good marks
Bring good name for the school’
Disrupts my cool mind whirling my brain
wriggling to face the maze before my dim eyes.
I am at lost, should I outshine my name,
School’s name or parent’s name ????

Chained short poem

I am trapped in my own little space I am looking for a door to freedom Trapped in the darkness of the past Waiting for someone to unchain me Here in the darkness There’s a thought of what could be
