Beauty

Beauty prose poem

Photo by kevin dooley

…So, I asked: what is beauty?
He said: it is the impossible becoming real; or
It is the kohl of a string on the forefingers of a guitar player;
It is the explosion of astonishment on a beautiful lady’s waist;
It is the flowing of a perfume bottle over the yawning of a flute;
It is the assembling of forests into two eyes, and the travel of time in a circle dangling from an empty wall.
“What else?”, I asked.
He said: it is the combination of what cannot be combined, in a passing instant.
“Then, how beauty could be defined?” I asked.
He answered: the same way that water can be undefined?
