The Solitary Moon

The Solitary Moon long poem

Away up in sky
Shining so high
She sat all alone
On her royal throne
Among the stars
Like lighted cigars
In uncanny solitude
Mocking an attitude
Glowing down on earth
With a smile a gallon worth
Guiding those who whined
Moaning secretly behind
None heard her melancholy
For their lives were squally
And the moon was beautiful
To brim their hearts full
Yet something about it
Forced her not to quit
Was it those happy faces
That defied all races
Or was it the silent night
In whom she found delight!!
