Rain

Rain short poem

I lay in bed
Listening to the hammering rain
Pit pat pit pat
Beating on the window pane

I gaze at these racing drops
Hitting a different note each fall
Spreading the fragrance in the air
Of their rendezvous with their final destiny

I slept dreaming these myriad glittering drops
Bathing the night of darkness
Mingling, befriending all the same
Conquering every fear and foe on it’s odyssey

The beaming iridescent globules scattered over the carpet of earth
Streaming in a chain of pearls
Smiling, showing up to the world
Purifying, refreshing on its way

I woke up to the light of the sun
Watched outside through this changed kaleidoscopic lens
The rain had washed away all the woes of yesterday
And thus begins a promise of yet another new day

I step outside to soak it all
Feel their power
So soft yet so strong
They are the reasons for the rainbows knowing it all along

After The Rain

After The Rain short poem

After the rain Luminescent clouds made creative shapes, Appearing out of nowhere, A magnificent double rainbow, Natures twins, Sent from the Heavens, Nature’s finest work, The colors were bright and in every shade you can imagine, Shining high in the
