The Knife Set/sets

The Knife Set/sets long poem

I’ve ruined the knife set apparently,
there were five and now there are four.
‘It’s not my knife set to diminish’,
no ones mentioned the stain on the floor!
Perhaps because I used bin bags,
made an effort for which I am praised.
I’m desperate to keep the finger,
an issue I’m reluctant to raise.
My loss it appears is Groupon’s gain,
electronic retail to soften the blow.
What will become of the remaining knives?
it’s made clear that I’m never to know.
I go buy a shinny new knife set,
hide my hand from the man in the shop.
Take my receipt with bloodied paw revealed,
shouting impatiently, chop, chop, chop.
I fucked up as now there’s two knife sets,
not counting the one I destroyed.
We’ve just got too many knife sets,
i’m told this is why their annoyed.
When a second finger goes astray,
it seems certain that something is wrong.
Have you ever considered a life so awful,
As that which is painful and long.

I am an obese hairy giant of a man who thinks so much that sometimes i forget that life is still going on. I have written numerous poems that if published would immediately render me unemployable. I live on the edge of society so that normal people can look on in horror without having to get too close. Creativity lights me up and i once killed a pigeon with a brick (After consultation with a vet).
