Pendulum short poem

Uploaded by Isabel Szurlej

between my guts and stars,
somewhere in the middle
when the heavens stands apart
my mortal excellence
create an exemplar
focused on the divine idea

the clock spins indicate the hours,
pendulum swings
can it be eternal?
I’m closer to something that
I wasn’t embracing

I idealized the space in the inverse square
and the period timed again
body turned upside down
on moveable scales and
I saw the Absolute on the justice blade

I covered tightly the doubts with many shells
to end with the uncertainty
rigid rules drag them top of the mountain
and pushed into the chasm
