The Gang Rape

The Gang Rape prose poem

Uploaded by SUMIT NASKAR

Fallen from what was established,
What was marginalized-
Those Vedic norms have fallen apart
And a gang rape is now an order, an order!
A viral order, long ago planted in culture,
By morons of male-feminine prowess,
That has been growing with belief like-
‘The fair skin, the fair sex,
And the dark skin, a rare race.’
But nothing is fair, nobody rare-
Only one is cowed and another is simply zapped
With norms, with bondage, with promise
And finally with few common modern words:
“Don’t put on the fashions”,
The rapist pipes very boldly
Caring nothing about what time desires.
And then, from nowhere another rapist,
“You go ahead with the time. Do whatever you like.”
Then silently, “But be docile in front of me.
I am the God!. You are devoted to me.
What if your skin were mine!”
Again the rapist of all nights who helps invigorating
The heat, and inert thought of becoming manly prowess
Oppressed all desires making a boundary
Just in front of him.
He is the best rapist.
He doesn’t allow, the fair or the rare, to show in front of others
But enjoys the beauty by taking fashionable dresses from secret wardrobe.
This is not the last but the terrible one-
A leader who enjoys the nights often
And gives speeches of reform and freedom
Suddenly found caught red handed slapping a lipstick girl.
