Winning short poem

Uploaded by tanshitiwari

Remember walking through the lonely paths alone?

And the depression that made your heart moan?
If you developed a determination to only get better;

Then darling, you are a winner.

Remember the people who laughed at you?

And when your friends left you too?

If you’ve now become stronger than ever;

Then darling, you are a winner.

Remember the times you wanted to give in?

Remember all the wounds you’ve got on your shin?

If you decided to go on rather;

Then darling, you are a winner.
If you wiped your tears

And had the strength to kill your fears,

Or if you are still a learner;

Then darling, you are a winner.

You might live in a present where things make you cry,

You might just want to end everything and not try

But if hope is something you decide you won’t lose,

Then darling you are a winner.
If a fearlessness in you has taken birth

If you now feel all the struggle you went through was worth

If you give your haters the credit for making you stronger

Then darling you are a winner
