The Truth

The Truth sonnet poems

When you believe your truth is true
And other truths are wrong
Then to the colors there’s no hue
No rhythm to the song

It’s based on your view of life
Which comes from all you’ve seen
Rich or poor, man or wife
The places you have been

The people you’ve talked to
The opportunities you’ve had
The things you were able to do
The pain you felt when sad

Life creates a vision
And no man has the same
If you think that is fiction
Then we are all the same

Nobody’s truth is wrong
If they believe it to be true
To their life it’s their song
And to the colors it’s their hue

And if all man just knew
There is no reason to fight
Because when all truths are true
Then everyone is right

Yet makes your truth another mad
Maybe change your point of view
Some truths are nice and some are bad
The choice is up to you

Until all truths are kind
And hurt no other man
Together we will find
The truth behind life’s plan

When you believe your truth is true
And no other truth is wrong
Then to all colors there’s a hue
And rhythms in the song
