It Comes

It Comes short poem

Photo by Tim Durkan

Waiting under the opaque moon
a primeval instinct takes over you
and you start arriving.

A black bone
renders the ash on your forehead
and you complete the circle –

reaching childhood; you start
climbing the ladder,
for instantaneous release.

The insects don’t forget the trail;
you were bleeding from inside.
You were never alone in a crowd.

Satish Verma is ferociously original. You feel resentment, outrage and violence, cannot pin it down but wonderfully spin your brain. Satish has the greatest sensibility which sweetly exploits the delicacies of human conflicts. You are taken aback. This is magic, profoundly soulful. In a lone, long journey Satish Verma is still discovering himself. Beaten, betrayed, felled, he comes back with fierce velocity. His childhood was traumatized by India’s partition. Terror, violence and death were witnessed which built the morals of poet. Becoming defiantly recluse Satish Verma pursued his value based life on the path of truth. Teaching Botany for 35 years he was writing poetry, privately and solemnly and published twelve collections. Worked silently with social causes. His scions, doctors and engineers are living in USA. He chose to live back in his beloved country and resides in Ajmer (INDIA) with his spouse Kanta running the Charitable Holistic Institute of SEWA MANDIR FOUNDATION. He can also be reached at kantasatish@gmail.com. 5-A ii, Mayoor Colony, Alwar Gate, Ajmer – 305007 INDIA Mobile +91 9829071468

First off you have used a great deal of grammar that is simplistic to taste. I liked the flow. Further, you have grown in your work as an artist type poet. Really liking your work. Words of nicely woven linguistic terms. Fashioned in a great experience type work you got here. Try reaching out to your fan base it may surprise you. Even you who may think otherwise. This piece is wonderful in its presentation. Lastly, subjects change and there maybe a pattern to this equation. Mark the one willing to let go & explore.
This incredible piece makes one really think. About the seasons the air we breath and the touch of a hand to hold. Savor each memory that is presented. I may come across as being cold at times but i really have a special place in my heart for poetry. Everyday i search for the latest poem that comes across feeling very positive to me. Grasping the dear message that each poem has been presented. you show your growth with each delicate penned piece that I come across reading. Thank you for the chance to have read. If Tomorrow Never Comes

If Tomorrow Never Comes short poem

If tomorrow never comes for me, I want you to know that we sat on the constellations and watched Aquarius Serve the stars with a bowl of the fountain of youth and forever They lit our faces while Cygnus collected
