Strayed At Crossroad

Myriad of choices
some made myself
few were made for me
some paths I chose
some were chosen for me.
On some I got lost
on some I wandered
some I was forced to walk
about some I would never talk
on some I’d strayed
on some I was betrayed
That one path
That one lane
down the memory lane
I didn’t choose
I was just let loose
I wish someone was there
to hold
to guide
to direct
for I was just
a lost child then

A Strayed Straw

A Strayed Straw short poem

I am like a strayed straw Wind may take me along Life is like a beggar’s bra Before birth is a death song Helplessness is in the breed Which crops up like a seed Nothing is known to me indeed
