Noticing

So much I notice now
That before I was blind to
Was you always that way
Or are you someone new

Notice your disregard for my pain
Yours you demand all attention
The world must stop for you
Mine must be my invention

Notice your disregard for my feelings
You can’t take anyone disagreeing
And care about most others
But no cares for my being

Notice your anger
You get so upset over so little
What will upset you next, I don’t know
Makes me feel the ground is brittle

Notice your refusal to help out
Dishes, glasses don’t make it to the sink
Clothes don’t make it to the hamper
Trash stays until it starts to stink

Notice your condescension
Belittle me over everything
Non-stop until it makes me upset
Then mock the tears it brings

Notice basically your disregard for me
Equals we were, now you treat me inferior
As if my life is worth so much less
I’m breaking down in my interior.
