Before The Bell

Before The Bell ballad

A child runs fast to catch his school bus
While he is still chewing on a bread crust
He throws down his heavy bag
Even though he has forgotten
Three books, his lunch box and his badge
He scratches his head, what will the teacher say
When she will ask him for his homework
To which he has forfeited his evening play

She will never believe he has done each and every line
She punishes him saying, you were playing all the time
No mam he swears, I just forgot
Oh no little boy, that’s just not
Its happens too often with you
Just go down to the principle and give me his review
The principal notice it’s the same boy he met
But he does not know the boy has no mother yet

Though there are so many periods of lesson to learn
The one they forget is to know about the welfare at home
Life at home could be like hell
Getting to school before the bell
Teachers come and go with a warning though
The boy has not eaten, nobody knows
He has to work hard if he wats to move on
To become the dream
he promised his mother, before she was gone.
